The SMART-PRP protocol™ is a multi modality treatment which works based on a combination of Subcision, Microneedling And Radiofrequency, TCA Cross and PRP Therapies. Dr Anil uses industry leader World PRP for the PRP treatment which gives both the highest quality and concentration of platelets.
Dr. Anil hosts an initial consultation where he assesses your skin and the type of acne scarring that you have. SMART-PRP protocol™ is then mapped out and tailored to your specific needs ensuring that the treatments you receive are the most effective and impactful for treating and improving the appearance of your skin. Not all clients will require all modalities from the SMART-PRP protocol™. Dr. Anil will discuss each step and modality with you in detail so you have a clear understanding of your treatment plan and package.
To commence treatment blood is taken in Dr. Anil’s clinic and put into a centrifuge where it is spun for 10 minutes. The red cells are separated from the platelets and these platelets are then injected into the skin and also poured onto the skin during Dermapen microneedling so that it seeps into the channels created by the microneedling process. Your platelets contain around 15-20 growth factors and stimulate collagen and elastin synthesis as well as promote skin healing. Since PRP therapy and micro-needling are both used for acne scarring and skin rejuvenation, when they are used together this accelerates the collagen stimulating activity and healing process in a very effective yet natural way.
