Thread Lift Procedure.
Also known as Sillhoutte Soft this is a popular, rejuvenating treatment, amongst people who want the benefits of younger looking skin without the need for surgery.
Is thread lift like like plastic surgery?
No. It has similar benefits and results but without the need for surgery. The Thread lift procedure has the following effect on skin:
However, unlike surgery (which just pulls the skin tighter), Thread Lift naturally stimulates the skin’s own collagen to produce a natural effect.
The product used is a very fine needle affixed to an absorbable thread, made from PDO (Polydioxanone). Needles are inserted to the subcutaneous or SMAS layer of the skin, and when the needle is taken out, the dissolvable threads remain in the skin.
Does Thread Lift hurt?
The procedure is painless.
The PDO threads:
- Stimulate collagen production
- Lift the angles of the face
- Create a more youthful “V” shape.
The end result is:
- More elastic, softer skin
- Fewer and smoothed out fine lines and wrinkles.
Who is it for?
Women and men who are:
- Beginning to experience the appearance of wrinkles on the forehead
- Sagging of the mid–face and lower face/neck areas.
It actually works better on people who are seeing the first signs of skin ageing.
Which areas are most effectively treated?
- Face: Jaw line, mid-face (the first areas that show signs of ageing), double chin zones and neck.
- Body: We have seen the most visible results with arms, thighs and abdomen correction.
Can it be used alongside other aesthetic procedures?
Yes. The benefits are best realised when combined with other therapies, to deliver the optimal result. This includes:
How long do the results usually last for?
It varies depending on the patent‘s age and skin health. The first effects are visible after 2-3 weeks and there is significant improvement after 10-12 weeks when new collagen stimulation begins.
The result of a single procedure normally lasts for at least 12 months, but 1 or 2 further treatments could extend the result to approximately 2 years.
Are there any side effects?
Thread lift is a very safe procedure and complications are extremely rare. The treated area is anaesthetised with cream, followed by thread insertion.
It is virtually painless.
Minor complications may include temporary swelling and bruising. You may feel slight tightness sensation immediately following the treatment but this goes away over a relatively short period of time.
