ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
Giving Back Through Specialist Scar Treatment
Dr. Anil is committed to supporting patients whose lives have been affected by burns, trauma and significant skin scarring. As part of his pro bono work, he provides specialist treatment to selected patients, including those he treats within the NHS, to help improve the appearance, texture, and function of damaged or scarred skin.
Treatment is individually tailored to the nature and severity of the scarring and may involve a combination of radiofrequency microneedling, fractional CO2 laser, TCA CROSS, subcision, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and dermal fillers.
By combining techniques where appropriate, Dr. Anil aims to soften and remodel scars, improve skin texture and contour, and help patients feel more confident after burns or traumatic injury.

Advanced Scar Revision, Free of Charge
Fractional CO2 Laser
Resurfaces thick, textured burn and surgical scars, prompting new, better-organised collagen.
Radiofrequency Microneedling
Softens dense scar tissue from beneath the surface. Suitable for all skin tones.
TCA CROSS
Targets narrow, pitted scars to build new tissue from the base upwards.
Subcision
Releases the bands that pull a scar downwards, allowing tethered scars to lift.
PRP Therapy
Your own platelets, applied during treatment to support healing and collagen.
Dermal Fillers
Restores lost volume or contour where injury has left a dip in the skin.

Scarring We Treat
Burn Scars
Healed burns often leave thick, tight, shiny skin. Fractional CO2 laser and radiofrequency microneedling soften texture, improve flexibility and even out colour over a staged course.
Self-Harm Scars
Treated quietly and without judgement. The consultation is about the scars, not the history behind them, unless you want to talk about it. Laser and radiofrequency blend scars closer to surrounding skin.
Trauma and Surgical Scars
Scarring from accidents, assault or surgery, including on the face, where treatment around the eyes, lips and nose is carried out by Dr. Anil personally.

Working Together to Restore Confidence
As part of our commitment to making a positive difference, Dr. Anil Skin & Wellness Clinics plans to work alongside organisations such as the Katie Piper Foundation and Changing Faces to support people living with facial disfigurement from burns, trauma, scarring, or other conditions. Through our pro bono programme, we hope to offer selected patients personalised treatments designed to improve the appearance and texture of scars and other skin irregularities.
Our aim goes beyond improving the skin itself. By reducing the visible effects of facial disfigurement, we hope to help individuals rebuild confidence, restore self-esteem, and feel more comfortable in their own skin.
Eligibility
Who the Programme Is For
Nature of Scarring
Significant scarring from burns, accidents, assault, surgery or self-harm that affects daily life or confidence.
Access to Care
Patients who could not otherwise access private treatment, including those discharged from NHS care once the wound has healed.
Age
Adults aged 18 and over.
Commitment
Able to attend a full course of sessions, usually spaced six to eight weeks apart.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. For accepted patients, we provide the assessment and agreed course of treatment at no charge. Places are limited and awarded after assessment.
Yes. The NHS rarely funds appearance-based scar treatment. Many applicants have been told there is nothing more that can be offered.
No treatment removes a scar entirely. The aim is a softer, flatter, less noticeable scar. Results vary.
Yes. Mature scars still respond, though they usually need more sessions than recent ones.
CO2 laser carries a higher risk of pigment change on darker skin, so radiofrequency microneedling is often used instead. This is assessed at consultation.
No. Nothing is shared without your explicit written consent, and you will never be asked.
